The Ditzy American
Listen To Ditzy American
Copyright 2010 All Rights Reserved
By Camille Bright-Smith
I’m barely holding on
Like everyone here on my block
December 31
Instead of taking shots were all taking stock
Hoping to change things up on my own
Find a way to stay here in my home
Everyday I’m calling on the phone to follow up
Now I am sharper and harder and faster than before
I am smarter and tarter and I’m good at saying no
But I’m ready for the spring
A little sun
For two thousand ten
I ready for a little dose of ditzy American
Remember when we had two cars
On my birthday we ate caviar
Remember when we used to give
Money to beggars on the freeway?
Everyone’s dose is doubled up
And the news keeps reminding us
We are protected by the biggest guns
Now I am sharper and harder and faster than before
I am smarter and tarter and I’m good at saying no
But I’m ready for the spring
A little sun
For two thousand ten
I ready for a little dose of ditzy American
Don’t want to be forever changed
The Americans that had no shame
To the constant hum of reckoning
With the choices that we made
I miss my brainy bimbo days
Lured ‘em in with tits then
Handed them the dossier
Said hey baby hey
