Pink into Gray

Listen To: Pink Into Gray

Walking out my front door
Down a frozen sidewalk
Gray skies above me
The sky is spitting snow
Pink light fadeing in
from the west mountains
Hovering

The lake is almost frozen
The geese don’t seem to notice
And you pulled away
you said that you would stay
And now its everyday, everyday alone
Watching the pink fade into gray
And now its everyday
Watching the pink fade into gray

I oughtta thank my momma
Come down from the mountain
Gonna watch the babies
Give me time to think
So I’m out here with the sunset
Tryin’ to get my mind set right

The cold is like a brandin’ iron
Left out in a meadow
High up near the treeline
Always in the shadow
And I cannot get my feet to
Move me down the sidewalk anymore
Don’t know what I ‘m walkin’ for
Because its everyday
Watching the pink fade into gray

And now its everyday, everyday alone
Watching the pink fade into gray
And now its everyday
Watching the pink fade into gray
